Eileen Croft-Baker

Eileen is a highly experienced human resources practitioner and a natural business partner with a global perspective and broad depth of knowledge. Prior to joining Livewire Performance Consulting, Eileen held senior HR management roles within the Private and Public sectors (both permanent and contract). She has a degree in law and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.

Her experience has been gained through working in a number of blue-chip organisations including, the magic circle law firms, big four accountancy practices, multi-national insurance companies, banking sector, corporate engineering, shipping, education, high growth SMEs, turnarounds and new business start ups.

Eileen is commercially astute and an accomplished human resources generalist consultant with over 20 years experience in HR Operations, Talent Management, Global Mobility, Employee Relations (management of disciplinary and complex grievances), Performance Management, Change Management, Pay and Reward, Training and Development, HR policy and specialist project work.

Eileen has managed specialist recruitment campaigns for senior management into permanent, contract and interim positions, (up to Managing Director level) and designed, delivered and evaluated in house management training. She has led major change projects, business transfers, HR transformation, restructures and mergers as well as setting up HR functions.

Client engagements include:

  • Providing a comprehensive HR outsourcing service, including help-line advice.
  • Conducting HR policy and company practices health check audits, to ensure adherence to employment legislation.
  • Conducting investigations and resolving complex and sensitive grievance issues.
  • Advice & support on safely and legally managing grievance, disciplinary and dismissal matters.
  • Providing management training in essential employment law skills to reduce conflict and protect from costly employment tribunal claims.
  • Design and implement performance management systems.
  • Design and delivery of job evaluation and employee engagement schemes.
  • Creating bespoke employee contracts and handbooks, reviewing and updating existing documentation.
  • Provision of policies, letters and documentation related to performance, absence management and TUPE.

Through her pragmatic approach to business Eileen has delivered solutions to address complex business performance issues and implemented commercially-viable cost effective business models that achieve high performance cultures, leadership succession and innovative strategies to attract and retain talent.

Eileen possesses excellent interpersonal and multicultural skills with a deep understanding of diversity and shifting demographics. She is particularly adept at developing ways to encourage employee engagement and methods to promote common business goals and commitment amongst staff. She believes that keeping people informed about what is going on in the organisation is critical and directly translates to bottom line performance, thus helping our clients to increase an engaged workforce who are more likely to act as organisational advocates and can play a powerful role in promoting their organisation as an employer of choice.
